Pink Penoies

My favorite (along with about a million other ladies) flower is the peony. One sunny Summer Saturday, I snuck down early to the local Farmer's Market during peak peony season and asked one of the vendors if she could put together a bouquet of all pink peonies. Mind you, I wouldn't have asked for this if I hadn't been the only one swooning over the sea of blooms at her booth but I happened to be the only one crazy enough to be up at such an early hour on a weekend and she willingly obliged, making me one happy lady. The endless layers of foliage, the gorgeous pigment and the amazingly fresh, summery scent weakens my knees and has me wondering, is it peony season yet?
