Aria Hotel + Casino

We really outdid ourselves with choosing to stay at the Aria Hotel + Casino. The location, our room and the hotel amenities made our trip to Las Vegas that much more enjoyable. Located near the strip but set back, away from the hubbub of the strip the Aria Hotel + Casino welcomed us with a marvelously soothing 20ft waterfall wall which makes you forget your in the middle of the desert. Upon entering the hotel, a delightfully colorful and artistic display of thousands of individual origami cranes sat suspended from the ceiling. Talk about a good first impression.

As far as pools go, you have your pick of three different pools each with it's own atmosphere. Liquid is the adult only, reserved table, DJ spinning option where you have to sweet talk your way into landing one of the "reserved" tables or day beds without paying the fee but the good news is, kids aren't allowed! We happened to be there on Easter Sunday so the crowd was laid back and smaller than normal so we were lucky enough to enjoy free champagne, a free day bed and the free Nevada sun. Happy Easter! The other pool boosts a friendlier crowd with more people swimming and less people trying to show off how much money they are willing to spend. Whatever your preference, you will have a good time. It's hard not to when the weather is 80 degrees and you haven't felt the warm sun in over 6 months like us Midwestern girls.

Five50 is a by-the-slice pizza place that we enjoyed every night err morning of our stay. Speaking of food, every time we left or came back to our hotel, we were tempted by the Jean Philippe Patisserie which seemingly had every dessert possible. They were almost too beautiful to eat and if the line wasn't always so long, we would have stopped to indulge. Next time Jean Philippe, next time.

The casino is just like all others. Located in the center of the hotel, you have your fair share of options for spending slash wasting but hopefully winning money.

Overall, our stay at the Aria Hotel + Casino was a 10. We wanted a hotel that was centrally located on the strip, had great pool options and was nice without costing a fortune. Aria hit the mark on all points. Thanks Aria, we shall meet again.
